Promote Environmental Education and Waste Management in Zanzibar
This project will provide an opportunity for volunteers to work directly with local youth and other community members to demonstrate and practice skills and ability to work with local Communities. It is very important for volunteers on this project to motivate and encourage the communities to promote environmental management and sustainability.
The volunteers will work with MYDO members and other local Community members to Plan, Organize and implement varous activities including:
• Awarenes education on Environmental Issues
• Recycling trainings
• Cleaning Campaigns, and
• Gardening and Trees planting
Cost includes; Accommodation, Food, Transfer to project, T.shirts and Free Swahili training sessions
The volunteer will stay at home stay with a local trusted family. Volunteers will share a room and have their own key. Volunteers will have time to experience local Swahili food, cultural exchange and learn Swahili through interaction with host family and local people.

In a typical day
Volunteers will work 5 days at week.
8 hours a day (from 9am to 5 pm) with a lunch break from 1pm to 2pm everyday
2 days off for your personal time to explore Zanzibar Islands
