• Degreaser like TSP (or PTS in French)
• Sponge and clean cloth
• Bucks or drop cloth
• Painting Annie Sloan Chalk Paint ™
• Round brushes for painting
• Flat brush (for angles and corners)
• Soft, lint-free cloths
• Clear Annie Sloan soft wax (wax finish)
• Round brush for wax

Step 1

Photo: Chloe Count Select the colors you want to cover your furniture. For this project, I have the chalk paint ™ color (I told you why my tips & tricks) Pure White and Versailles. Prepare to paint your surfaces after cleaning with a degreaser like TSP obtained

Step 2

Photos: Chloe Count start brush up on your first coat. Rule; Applying at least 2 coats thin to maintain the originally selected color.

Step 3

Photos: Chloe Graf Let the first layer dry. If it feels dry, apply the second layer.

Step 4

Photo: Chloe Count Once all your layers of paint are dry, brush on soft wax. Place the wax aggressively move back and forth with the brush. Again do not apply too much product in one place! Stretch wax maximum for a uniform result.

Step 5

Photo: Chloe Count Once out on wax brush, scrape your lint free cloth and immediately after the wax good range (which is your coat instead of a standard color). With the cloth, make circular movements to heat the wax and spread in every corner. That's it! Photos: Chloe Count

Tips and Tricks

• If the surface of the wood furniture contains many nodes (pine furniture, for example), if your furniture is dark, or if it painted designs that you no longer want; You can save time and layers of paint from a previous small print or BIN Shellac spray primer.
• For this project I have called a chalk color painting ™, because they do not grind or (besides a good cleaning degreaser) require special preparation of the surface to be coated. Moreover, it has no odor and is non-toxic!
• With Chalk ™ paint paint, it is recommended not to board at the same places over when applying paint until it is dry. This could create "lumps".
• Try a different image, the paint ™ chalk, if you want a glossy effect. This is matt and has a better effect chamoiré by Growing.
• As with any color, you might want to spend two thin layers (avoid drips) to the result and the expected color.
• So that the paint has reached its maximum hardness, for about 30 days (45 days due to the humidity in the summer) to dry. We wait in front of submitting everything to its newly designed housing.
• If you paint a very thin layer of paint chalk lay ™, want to paint is perfect with water, without diluting its properties. It can also be used to color the thinner!
