Old barn converted into a beautiful home
To give an old building a new life in her renovated and restored, is not an easy task. It is certainly more difficult than the design of the homes and brand new homes. Lying in the beautiful Dutch city Geldermalsen G House is an excellent example of a tag that looks impressive and elegant. Originally, the structure of the building was an old dark barn. Today we present the transformation of Macwan Architects + Planners in an airy, charming modern residence.

Large lounge and plush carpet The previous owners have already extended vertically by having built two new floors, it has actually improved a bit the whole design. One of the biggest challenges during the renovation was to flood the room more light and eliminate dark spots. A long break is provided on the floor and high roof windows are added to this goal. The upper floors of the house provide a friendly and open atmosphere. The lower level of the house G shows the most deprived areas with an elegant lounge, ergonomic modern kitchen and a large dining room. A kitchen island on wheels also serves as a storage unit and the great library of the house forms a beautiful backdrop to the wooden staircase that leads to the highest level. With a balanced mix of rustic details and modern G House offers an excellent retirement. The elegant conversion between the house and the beautiful natural landscape there and has a cozy atmosphere.
