The forest, like most of the Dutch landscape is of human origin. Especially Douglas Pines were planted in the 1950s for the production of straight rods, which could then be used as a bar. The tree was ripe, as immoral, the trees were harvested, paradoxically, in the 1970s the landscape turned from industry and natural. Now, the site is the "build-in-Nature" -Entsorgung, including a number of constraints including height restrictions for gutter lines and volumetric restrictions on what could be built above ground. It offers beautiful views of the forest and a large exposure to the sun, we wanted to use it fully. So we came up with the characteristic Y-shape of the house, each wing is perfectly aligned with the grounds and the sun. There are three wings: one wing to work, study and play music; a / e to cook and eat; and the other for life and painting. In the basement, the Y-shape creates a similar functional clarity: one wing is the master bedroom, one for cars and one for storage and bedrooms. A terrace offers a light to the rooms.
