Elegant mountain lodge – the fabulous conversion of a former barracks in Switzerland
This elegant mountain lodge was created by architects Ralph Germann a former barracks in Switzerland. The extraordinary transformation is mainly the insertion of a glass cube in the old building. In this way, the patina of the walls and even some historic elements have been preserved – such as authentic labels WWII.
The shelter has a total area of 49 square meters
View The architect has only noble and solid materials – larch, slate, glass and metal. The linear design gives refuge additional timeless touch. Here and there colored accents are set to create a more relaxed atmosphere. For more light and space are priorities of this design. In order to effectively save space, Ralph Germann added a second wooden cube in the center of the first. As there are toilets, closets and a folding bed. The light can be adjusted to suit your mood – through large windows, which are provided outside with double solid wood doors. [Photos of Lionel Henriod] Simple and elegant with fresh accents
