If you want to give him the same look as mine; add tape around the pot to determine the future colored border. On the part you want to keep intact, just add a piece of paper to protect it from the paint.

Step 2

In a well ventilated area Protect your work surface and begin to recover, out of the wind, spray paint your pot. Cover your pot the desired number of layers (at least 2 in general). Let dry for at least 15 minutes before the last layer to remove the sheets of paper and tape. Set aside the pot and let it dry at least 48 hours before use.

Step 3

The length is the number of nodes that you want to make your net and hang out the desired length of the suspension. It is always good to work with more strings and cut them later. Once your cut pieces, the ends burn easily, so they do not fray.

Step 4

Step 5

Step 6

Step 7

Step 6 as many times as desired. However, I would advise you to get the last node of the network only a little over the edge of the pot.

Step 8

Protect your hands with gloves and work surface (be careful, it stains). Once the dye is ready, dip your net in whole or in part depending on the desired effect and enjoy them all a dozen minutes. Remove fillet from the dyeing and hang to dry. When using wooden beads, could they (are enough 3 minutes to color it too) to give a little color by dipping in the dye works.

Step 9

Step 10

For those who know a little knot, make a loop with two groups of four strings and tie a knot. To solidify the (hanged or node) no loops that perform formant son over the rest of the loop. Remove excess and burn the ends.

Tips and Tricks

  • For the production of nets macrame you can find cotton rope, nylon, climbing or Trapilho (DIY ball jersey here, or here directly) to use.
  • If you are a beginner macrame, I often recommend that you place your pot on the net, so check with him if the node to places that you like and that will take to get everything straight.
  • To determine which stops the top of your hanging basket, take the test. Place your pot in the net and put it into play. This makes it easier to turn the bulk endpoint at length.
  • When applying paint to the pot, the simplest and will be less messy to use a cardboard box.
  • When using spray paint, hold the bottle far enough away from the object sprayed and spray with push button. This will prevent excess paint and drips.
  • You can install what you want in your network: a vase of flowers, a terrarium, etc. For you, your braid used to tailor the vessel!
  • Not the courage to end up with a complicated knot? Make a big knot and use a S-hooks to hang your performance.
